Water Your Website With Fresh Content
The gospel of the burgeoning science of Search Engine Optimization is that two things in particular are important if you want to appear first when someone searches your field in search engines like Google. One is that, in terms of ranking relevance, Google takes into account how frequently a website’s content is updated. Another is that websites with video content almost always land on the first page of a search engine’s results (which is key, since very few web-searchers will look beyond the first page of results after they enter their search term and hit “enter”).
Combine those two powerful engines of website relevance, and what you have is turbo-SEO. Video content that’s updated frequently. That’s what we offer at Reel Stuff – the creation of a stream of video content that supplies your site and keeps it fresh in the eyes of the all-powerful algorithm. Just drop us a line to see how we can make it work for your business.
Reel Stuff Moves Into New Digs
Reel Stuff takes a standing jump into the new year with a bold, new move. A literal one, as in we moved into new office space, in Philadelphia’s urban/uber-hip Northern Liberties neighborhood.
The building’s exactly what you’d expect it to be: an old brick industrial dinosaur left to rot by a previous generation being re-claimed and re-born by the current one. Not just recycling a bottle, but an entire building. An entire neighborhood. A city.
The building on North Fifth Street was renovated as an incubator for start-up media and tech companies. Our neighbors include web designers, graphic artists, SEO specialists, boutique publicists – all coming together into a gestalt collectively known as Viaduct. It’s already starting to give rise to exciting possibilities. There are several websites being run out of this place, all of which are hungry for video content. And not just these websites, but others whose owners understand the golden rule of Search Engine Optimization which, in its simplest formulation, is this: video rules!
Keep an eye to the skies, because great things are on the horizon.
News
Reel Stuff’s 10-episode travel/lifestyle TV series “Europe After Dark” is still making the rounds among potential television homes. Meanwhile, show episodes – as well as original content – have been uploaded and are currently available on the web. We are adding new material all the time. Check out the “Europe After Dark” YouTube channel:

On Saturday, September 17, the Reel Stuff guys got up really early and trekked down to College Park, Maryland to do a shoot for our latest clients, Jeep and ESPN. The occasion was a football game between the Universities of Maryland and West Virginia.
Also, Reel Stuff is producing a video – and hopefully more – for the Annapolis Tourist Bureau. We’re working in conjunction with Sally Comport, an Annapolis-based artist and designer. Shooting the video has taken us all around Annapolis, including the end zone of Marine Memorial Stadium at the U.S. Naval Academy, where we shot Navy take on the University of Delaware.
Keep checking back for updates.
